Will IBP 9 burst your rankings?

One peculiar feature of people is our striving for automation; we try not to do manually whatever might be at least a little bit automatized. That is one of the reasons why SEO software is assigned not to make a web page № 1 in Google for a competitive keyword after one-button-pushing, but to save valuable (and rather costly) time of search engine optimizers.

SEO experts sceptically think about search engine optimization software, but if you use a creditable one and do not forget to turn on such a tool as your brain, the results may be stunning. So what SEO software can be considered creditable? Not the one that is full of different features and tools, but the one really helpful in the optimization process.

One search engine optimization software promises to help to

· Get top 10 rankings on Google, Yahoo, MSN Search, and others.

· Get more web site visitors and increase your revenue.

· Outperform your competition.

This is <a href=”http://www.axandra-web-site-promotion-software-tool.com/index.htm”>IBP 9</a> (Internet Business Promoter). Does it do what is claimed?

As I have said, SEO software is meant to save search engine optimizers’ time; the first thing I confronted starting my work with IBP 9 was that all the fields are required when you create a new project in the Project Management tool. Fill in the fields manually and you start getting messages that you didn’t do this or that. Do this or that again and again, and finally you end up at the beginning. But this is a small, though annoying, thing.

The main thing I do not understand is why search engine optimization is copycatting your competitors. Top 10 Web Page Optimizer (one of the IBP tools) thinks just so—if for some reason, a top-ranked web page of your competitor doesn’t have the keyword in title be sure to remove yours as well. But IMHO on-page optimization is not the only factor that matters in placing a page in SERPs.

Oops, I didn’t mean to talk about bad things all the time. Actually there are some features that gladdened me. For example, Keyword Generator & Keyword List Manager allow one to research keywords with WordTracker (15 words if you didn’t purchase WordTracker license), with the tools provided by search engines (like Google Trends, Google Traffic Estimator, Overture, 7Search, Miva), and to extract the most frequent words from your competitors’ pages. Of course, nothing is perfect in this world and there are some annoying things like those I have spoken about: while extracting keywords from your competitors’ web pages, you will get a long list of words, including numbers in different combinations (phone numbers, addresses, and so on), so be sure to put as many numbers as possible in Keyword Filter.

I think there is no need to explain the convenience of having a link to <a href=”http://validator.w3.org/”>Markup Validation Service</a> within easy reach; if you still doubt this, ask Google :)

Also Web Site Optimization Editor seems nice; this tool helps to add and change all the meta-tags quickly (among them are even those I have never seen used, like regional meta-tag, geo tag, ICBM), simultaneously watching frequency and position of your keywords in them and length of your description. With this tool, one can easily add and change text of the links and image ALTs. Besides, you can see and edit HTML source and watch changes in Preview tab at once. Web Site Optimization Editor may be comfortably used to analyze the pages of the competitors.

Search engine optimizers always are interested in how their site will look in the eyes of search engines, i.e., how the text will be read, what links will be followed, and so on. Search Engine Spider Simulator should give you such an idea. Being inspired with <a href=”http://www.websiteceo.com/articles/js-indexing.htm”>Search engines and your fancy menu: will they escape? </a> I decided to check this feature. Search Engine Spider Simulator lies :) well, to be more exact, it poorly keeps an eye on search engines’ algo changes. I, after all, do know that GoogleBot follows links in script-menu and Search Engine Spider Simulator does not.

There still are a few tools about which I said nothing, be patient :) So, Site Submitter. There is nothing supernatural in it. Besides few people nowadays believe in site submission. The only thing that is of some interest there is Special Interest Site Submitter, but let’s wait till more directories will be available there.

Moving on to Search Engine Ranking Checker, choose search engine. Oh my God! Google.com.ua is among Russian search engines! Ukraine is not a part of Russia! For 16 years already! Pardon my emotionality, but this offends my patriotic spirit. Aside from emotions, a tool for ranking checking is always handy—one doesn’t need to create spreadsheets to track changes in positions. You get all this in one report. But I’ve seen better presented reports. PPC Search Engine Manager affords an opportunity to reach all your PPC campaigns just from the IBP window.

Now, two products of Axandra (IBP and Arelis) are united in one suite, but I think Arelis deserves a separate review. That, I promise, will be written in the immediate future.
